How do I contact the Union?

How do I join AFSCME Local 1693?
All you do is contact the union to obtain a members payroll deduction card, fill it out and you're in!

How much are dues?
Full time member dues are $15.24 bi-weekly.
Part time member, four hours or less, dues are $11.45 biweekly.

Why should I join?
When you become a member of AFSCME Local 1693 and attend the meetings, you can elect officers that will represent you. You can give your input on which direction we should take and vote on important issues such as contract negotiations or any other agreements affecting your wages, hours, or other terms and conditions of employment.
Remember - while we represent all Anne Arundel County Maryland Public School System Unit III Employees, only AFSCME Local 1693 members can vote on these important issues!

The more members there are, the stronger we become and the more influence we have!
